In 1978, a young Australian surfer Brian Smith brought a core piece of "Down Under" to the United States. Craftsmen have been making the sheepskin boots for many in Australia and New Zealand, however it took an enterprising your surfer to introduce the sheepskin boots to the United States.
The general consensus is that ?stands for flying Ugg. Due to the 100% natural sheepskin from which genuine Uggs are made, they are the perfect boot for flying in as they are loose and comfortable and keep your feet at a constant temperature. Thus at high altitudes your feet would remain at a comfortable body temperature.

I was disappointed to received my first pair of Uggs. I ordered in size 5. I normally wear size 6. The Sheepskin lining was very thin, rough, pale white color (not cream) and itches my skin when wear without socks. I decided to order another pair in size 6. I was surprised at how much nicer the sheepskin lining on the size 6 was! That's the quality I was looking for given the top dollar for these shoes! I wish there are better quality consistency across the board! Size 6 was nice but too big for me. I wanted to keep the size 5 pairs but the sheepskin lining bothers me, that why I am paying for the same expensive shoes knowing that it has worst quality. I decided to return them both!

Love this UGG! Expected more densed sheepskin on the sole like my classic tall UGG boots, but still comfortable and warm! Shipping was quick and will buy from this store again.
